Fibroscopy

admin1o1

The principle of this examination is to explore the inside of the body using an endoscope fitted with an optical fiber. The endoscope, or fiberscope, consists of a flexible tube a few millimeters in diameter into which an optical fiber is inserted. It has a light source at one end. Some use a mini-camera and are connected to a video screen. They can be fitted with forceps to take samples for laboratory analysis. Once inside the body, a control system is used to guide the probe.
